Gregor used 3D computer modelling to create an intricate lattice based on the sacred geometry, which holds spiritual significance in many religions and is believed by some to reveal the underlying order of the universe.. Three projections were taken through the lattice and overlaid on one another. The resulting image is a re-imagining of quantum field theory, which suggests that matter and energy are simply the result of interactions between a number of fields that fill the universe. The unusual use of gold paint for the background of this painting gives it a sense of an ornate carved wooden screen.
