Physics painting 1746 by Gregor Harvie

#1746

122cm x 122cm, acrylic on 2 panels

This painting is inspired by particle collision simulations generated by the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva. The intricate grids evoke the collider's detector network, while also subtly suggesting the indivisible, quantum nature of the fabric of space. Central to the piece is a striking black circle symbolising the dramatic point of impact and also the enigmatic boundary of the known, a frontier that defines the limit of our understanding.
